cover of brazos trail mapThe Texas Brazos Trail is pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in the reprint of our travel map. The "Official Roadmap of the Texas Brazos Trail Region" has been the most popular marketing project that we have ever done. We printed 50,000 maps last year and handed them out at Travel Information Centers, the Texas State Fair, tradeshows, and visitor centers across the state. We are now at the end of our supply and ready to do it all again.

The map will look similar to what we did last year (click the photo to download the map), but will have a different cover and a few other minor changes. The map will remain the same size (19"x25") and feature the 18-county Texas Brazos Trail area on one side(map provided by TxDOT), and 25 partners on the back side.

We plan to print 50,000 copies of the map again to be distributed as follows:

• 500 to each of our partners (with more available upon request)
• Distributed at the Texas Travel Information Centers
• Handed out at the Texas State Fair
• Handed out at all the tradeshows we attend
• Available to travelers who request it through the website

Communities that partner with us will be featured on the back of the map in a 3”x4” block. Each partner will have their community name bolded at the top with their phone number and website underneath.  Community partners will be able to customize the message in their block – it could be an overview of the community, focus on attractions or shopping, or promote festivals and events. Please note - we are making some changes to the partner blocks. We have decided to make each partner's photo bigger, and cut down the number of words by half. We think it will be more readable with a bigger font and photo.  Each participant will submit up to 50 words of text and three 300 DPI photos. The ultimate decision on which photo to use will be left to our graphic designer. She will make her choices based on photo quality and what fits best with the piece. We will do our best to use your first choice photo.

The cost to participate in this project is $600, and space will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis. We have room for 25 partners, and we anticipate this project will sell out.

Deadline to participate in this project is January 5, 2009. The materials deadline (text and photos) are due no later January 9, 2009. We intend to have the map printed and distributed by the end of February 2009.
